How Sitting All Day Affects Your Posture?
Long Hours at a desk stiffen the upper back, tighten the chest and let the head drift forward. Every centimetre of drift adds load to your neck muscles. That is why tension headaches and sore shoulders usually turn up together in people who work on a laptop.

Forward Head Position

Structural differences need a different plan. Exercise will not straighten a curve caused by scoliosis, though strength and mobility work can ease the pain and fatigue that come with it. You hear that at the first visit, not several sessions in.

Our First Posture Assessment
We start by looking at how you stand and sit, usually with photographs from the front and the side. Movement testing follows. Then come strength checks through your neck, mid back, hips and core, plus a look at how freely your spine and shoulders move.
We also ask about your day. Desk setup, screen hours, driving time, training and sleep position all shape the result. You see the photographs and hear what they show before you leave, and treatment starts at the same visit.
What Your Treatment Programme Covers
Hands-on work comes first. We release the chest, hip flexors and upper back, so the position is available to you before we ask you to hold it. A stiff thoracic spine gets mobilised too, and dry needling helps when a knot will not settle any other way.
Strengthening follows, aimed at the deep neck muscles, mid back and glutes. Your workstation comes next: screen height, chair depth, phone habits. Eight hours of a poor setup will undo three good sessions a week. Patients often ask about posture braces. A brace can remind you early on, but it will not build the strength that keeps posture in place.
